Trio 'Messing around the Piano' NNO Chamber Orchestra - Noorderkerk concert

Listen to two young brass players whose solo trumpeter Manuel was hired a few years ago and Quirijn is the leader of the trombone group. They are accompanied by experienced chamber music pianist Victoria Dmitrieva.

They play a varied and bold program. Composers such as Brahms and also Weber are often already quite well-known. Colomer , however, is not a very common name in the symphonic repertoire but is one in chamber music. Born in Valencia in 1966, he received his first music lessons at the Banda Sinfonica in Alzira. He then went on to study trumpet and composition at the Conservatory of Music in Valencia. In 1990 he went to the U.S. to study at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Today he lives in Los Angeles where he works in projects with artists and performers. He orchestrates for Plácido Domingo and the three tenors and writes film music.
