Royal Air Force Concert
- Saturday 26 April
20:15 - 22:30
In a musical flight we follow the route of the liberators through the Netherlands and reflect on that special moment 80 years ago, with at each place where we play a moment with a specially invited speaker who tells a memorable story about the history and meaning of freedom for your hometown to the music of the orchestra. Listen to the personal stories of our Air Force colleagues, full of pride and passion, and stand in their shoes for a moment as they tell what freedom means to them and what contribution they make to it.
Let yourself be carried away by the enchanting voice of Anneke van Giersbergen, who combines her unique musical flair with the powerful sounds of the Royal Netherlands Air Force Orchestra. From unmistakable classics like Glen Miller and Somewhere over the rainbow to beautiful new versions of Soldier of Orange and Metallica's Nothing Else Matters - each song tells a story that reminds us of the inestimable value of freedom and the fight that has been waged for it. The evening ends in a celebratory finale with Anneke's own song Freedom.
Celebrate freedom with us in It's all about Freedom! We promise you an unforgettable evening full of emotion, history and connection.
After the concert there will be a great Orange-Afterparty in the foyer with a band and singer!
