We are going to enjoy the mysterious Park Jongemastate in Raerd. During early spring you can already admire the snowdrops and winter aconites here. In late spring, the imperial crown and the vernal bell bloom here. In addition, the Italian arum shows its splendor later in the year with orange berries. In other words, a unique stinzenflora spot.

The rook and blue heron colony give this wooded park a literal sound of its own. As soon as you pass the park's gateway, you can't ignore these busybodies. Although the old state is gone, the original gateway still stands proudly. Want to see on the spot what the former situation looked like. Then take a look through the "little viewer", which our tour guide is happy to point out to you. Here you can see the engraving of the old state in a modern setting. You will discover more about this park and its former noble inhabitants, the Jongema's and the Van Eysinga's, during this excursion.
