Martiniplein Sneek - website
On National Liberation Day we sit down with each other. Everyone with a heart for freedom and a heart for Sneek is welcome.
  • Monday 5 May11:00 - 13:00

The lunch will take place on the Martiniplein from 11:00 am. The Sneker service clubs Rotary, Lions and the JCI (Jongeren Kamer) provide the lunch together with Sneek 80 years free. The supermarkets Jumbo Kooistra and Poiesz and several other sponsors contribute to make this lunch a success, thanks to them we can offer the lunch for FREE. At approximately 13:00 the lunch will be taken away again.

During lunch Alderman Marianne Poelman will join a number of tables to discuss freedom. She is coming especially to listen, what would you like to share with her?

And there is more: the column of historic army vehicles of Keep Them Rolling will arrive in the center of our beautiful city around 12:15 and will be on display at the Oud Kerkhof. The Liberation Fire will be collected from Wageningen by athletics club Horror, it will arrive at the Oud Kerkhof around 1 p.m. where Alderman Marianne Poelman will take over the flame and ignite the Liberation Fire. Later in the afternoon you can enjoy the Tattoo that will also take place on the Martini Square.
