The number of illegal ether pirates is the highest in years. The chains are full of youth where not a word of Dutch is spoken. Gossiping still happens in abundance, but a Tukker also knows very well when to keep his mouth shut.

hes tells us about a true story with an issue, to which the answer is still unknown to this day. Until Thijs meets Gerrit during his daily walk along the canal. Gerrit knows more about this story, but like so many has decided to remain silent to the grave. Or? Thijs takes you into a story that reveals how norms and values used to be observed in a village. And what about now? Are we as a region still like this or did we really change? Thijs finds out and at the same time pays tribute to the region. Thijs: 'Come and visit us all and afterwards we'll toast to life!'

Around this performance the documentary 'Overijsselse Streken' will be released by RTV Oost, in which Thijs goes into the region in search of norms, values and traditions.
