In 2025, pop stage Het Bolwerk will celebrate its 50th anniversary, and it shouldn't be without some special artists! One of the absolute highlights: Soul Asylum, the iconic rock band from Minneapolis, who will give an exclusive Dutch performance in Sneek on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
  • Saturday 8 February 2025

Soul Asylum broke through in 1992 with their legendary album Grave Dancers Union, which spawned worldwide hits such as Runaway Train, Black Gold and Somebody to Shove. The video of Runaway Train not only had a huge musical impact, but also helped bring dozens of missing children back home safely, making the band's story extra special.

The band has released 12 studio albums in the years since and remains an influential force in the rock scene. Their most recent album, But Shirley, shows that Soul Asylum is still innovative and has lost none of their energy and passion.

Jeroen Toussaint, programmer at Het Bolwerk:

"Soul Asylum is a world-class band. It is therefore very special that they choose to come to Sneek during their tour. This is a unique opportunity for music lovers in the Netherlands, because a performance like this does not come to our country very often!"

This concert is the perfect opportunity to experience a piece of music history live, and we can't wait to welcome Soul Asylum to our stage. For fans past and new, this is an opportunity you don't want to miss!
