This cultural historical route has been set out by Sneek Su Het Ut Weest (SSHUW). Initially the route was intended for the shuttle bus, but this route is also wonderful for cycling. The surroundings of Sneek have special characteristics and often a very interesting history and places of interest. With this route and various explanations at the historical points on the map, SSHUW hopes to acquaint everyone who is interested with it.
This route starts at the Fries Scheepvaartmuseum.
After it follow your route via: Kleinzand, Jousterkade,2e Oosterkade (Last penny bridge), Looxmadwarsstraat, Steenklip, Zwettekade, Dr. Bosstraat, Dr. Kuyperlaan, Goeman Borgesiusstraat, Worp Tjaardastraat, Harmen Sytstrastraat, Kerkhoflaan, Bolswarderweg, Oude dijk, Wilhelminapark, (possibility for a short walk through park) the Harste, Schoonoord, Epemawei, Kleasterwei, Thabortille, Thaborwei.
Continue the route towards St. Martensdyk, Scharnegoutum, Pôle, Legedyk, Swettewei, service road at Nomadenhof, Pasfeardyk, Leeuwarderweg, Oosterpoortbrug, Jousterkade and then you are back in Sneek.
