With this Helftstedenroute you cycle past lakes, cliffs, meadows, over shell paths and historic dikes. The lakes channels, canals and ditches mark the Frisian landscape. This bicycle tour offers a variety of vistas. The Helftstedentocht takes you along the beautiful (tourist) bike paths of Southwest Friesland, including the most beautiful bike path of our country: the Brekkenpaad near Oudega (swf). Along this route you will also encounter the bicycle ferry at Gaastmeer.

The tour can be started in Sneek, but basically you can start anywhere along the route. You can also use the train between different junctions viz. Stavoren-Hindeloopen-Workum and Sneek.
