Battle of Warns
The Battle of Warns was a battle in the Frisian-Dutch wars between Count William IV of Holland and the Frisians on Sept. 26, 1345. It ended with a victory for the Frisians and the death of the count. For part of the Frisians, the annual commemoration of the battle is important. It is also referred to as the Battle of Stavoren, which is more correct since Warns is not mentioned in historical sources.
