DEVO is more than 86 years old, and is located in the beautiful historical center of Sneek at Het Grootzand No. 20. The store is situated next to an alleyway, and is no less than 70 meters deep. As a result, half the store is on the Grootzand street, and the part at the back is on the De Singel. Het Grootzand still has a canal, while De Singel no longer has one. Until the 30’s, goods were supplied via cargo ships, called De Skûtsjes here in Friesland. The back of DEVO is a warehouse, where the goods were hoisted up from the ships in the old days. A beautiful historical building.
