Watersports Village Heeg

Heeg, situated at the Heegermeer, is a real water sports village. On Ascension Day there is a large open-air street festival "Heechspanning". You can grab a terrace in the cozy center of Heeg or have lunch or dinner in one of the restaurants. Heeg has a history in the eel trade. In the harbor lies the eel barge the Korneliske Ykes II on which a day trip can be sailed on Thursdays.
