Tourist VI

Started as a shipbuilder of skûtsjes, motor freighters, motor yachts and sailing boats, the decision was made in 1940 to sell the shipyard and start a canal tour company. Rondvaartbedrijf M. van der Werf started its fleet with an old steamboat, the Wetterwille, and over the years it expanded its fleet and said goodbye to old ships.

Nowadays, Circular shipping company M. van der Werf is still at home on the water and has a modern and versatile ship, the Toerist VI.

At its berth on the Jousterkade it is beautifully lit in the evening.
