The Nooitgedagt Chimney has been restored in an original way, the top of the 14-meter chimney, which had been demolished in the 1980s, has been reinstalled in the form of a steel frame. At darkness, the chimney is lit and emits bright white light. Nooitgedagt is a former factory in IJlst that became best known for its skates, which were in fact a by-product. Woodworking tools were its main product line, and for several decades it also manufactured wooden toys.
