After almost three decades of absence, the time has finally come: the Frisian band Wiegels Wjukkelmasine will reunite for a genuine reunion concert on February 22, 2025 in the Bolwerk in Sneek. They will do this together with Sebeare, another famous name from the Frisian pop history. So a special show in honor of the 50th anniversary of the pop stage in 2025. From the moment the show is online there is a run on the tickets, more than half of the tickets have been sold.
Wiegels Wjukkelmasine, founded in Bolsward in 1986, was a well-known name in the Frisian music scene in the 80s and 90s. With their mix of willefolk and Frisian hip-hop, they brought something new and exciting to the Frisian music scene. Well-known songs like "Wachtsje yn de rein" and "Unwis" are still loved by many. In total, they released four albums, including their debut album "CdK" in 1991.
The reunion concert promises to be a great evening for both loyal fans and new lovers of Frisian music. In addition to Wiegels Wjukkelmasine, the band Sebeare will also perform. This band, founded in 1993, has gained a prominent place in the Frisian music scene with their Frisian-language songs and distinctive horn arrangements.
