In the last week of December, Team Wybe Foundation will walk through all the cities of Fryslân to put them in the light for everyone who is or has been affected by cancer. This action raises money for cancer research.

Team Wybe was founded in 2014 by the group of friends of Wybe Leenstra from Koudum, who died at the age of 37 from the effects of a brain tumor. Since then, over 200,000 euros have been raised. Walk with us for hope, comfort and connection. Anyone can join the walk between Friday, December 27 and Tuesday, December 31. On the website www.teamwybe.nl you will find the schedule with the route and times. Walkers decide when and how many kilometers. One joins and leaves somewhere along the route.

Everyone can bring a light source (flashlight, LED candle, LED lights) so that a walking ribbon brings light to all 11 cities. In each city, Team Wybe will hand over a lit candle to a family from the region who have lost a loved one to cancer. There will also be a lot of fun and we will celebrate life with each other during these days.
