The snowdrops are already blooming and the crocuses cautiously: time for the spring concert of Mixed Choir Evergreens!

Evergreens is a dynamic choir consisting of over fifty-five enthusiastic singers. Weekly rehearsals are led by the professional conductor: Erwin de Ruijter. The choir sings in four voices: soprano, alto, tenor and bass. The choir is supported by its own combo consisting of a pianist, a drummer, guitarist and a bass guitarist. Together we make it a musical party. The repertoire is very broad: well-known evergreens, pop songs, gospels, gospel rock, classical songs: lots of variety: we like to build a party, but a moment of reflection at a quieter pace is no problem either. So there is something for everyone! Sociability and quality are of paramount importance.

We would like to let you enjoy a number of new songs such as: a beautiful medley from the Sound of Music with the well-known songs: The hills are a-live, My favorite things, The lonely goatherd and of course Do-re-mi, Siyahamba, an African gospel and Go like Elijah in a new arrangement. Furthermore, the classics The Rose by Bette Midler, The Ave Verum by Mozart and Let me by Ramses Shaffy will be performed. And much more: a complete evening of music!

District center de Spil is located at Molenkrite 169 in Sneek.

Entrance to the concert is free: we ask for a voluntary contribution.

We now exist for thirty-four years. Partly for the preservation of the choir we would like to maintain the balance and are looking for enthusiastic tenors and basses. To get an impression of the choir we would like to welcome you to this performance or to a rehearsal on Thursday evenings from 19.45h to 22.00h in De Spil.

More about this and other matters concerning the choir can be found on the website of Mixed Choir Evergreens: www.evergreenssneek.nl. or on Facebook: facebook.com/evergreenssneek/.
