Sneekweek Sailing

The Sneekweek is the largest inland water sailing event in Europe. Sailing boats of all recognized classes appear at the start of Sneekweek, the perfect combination of sportsmanship and conviviality. Or, as they say at the Royal Sneek Watersports Association, "During the day for the honor, at night for the atmosphere." During the day there is fanatic sailing on the Sneekermeer and supporters entertain themselves on the Starteiland, which is open to everyone. The conviviality continues in the evening on the island and in the town.
