Singing bowls relaxation journey
Nienke takes you on a sound journey through the world with singing bowls, voice and other instruments in the beautiful St. Martin's Church in Sibrandabuorren.
Immerse yourself in a wonderful sound bath and find complete calm and peace in the beautiful sounds, vibrations and sensations enveloping your body.
Tension, Mood, Well-Being
People who are carried away by a sound journey often experience a sense of relaxation, contentment and well-being.
There is peace of mind and body, stress has been able to discharge, and more balance between body and mind is experienced.
People see colors, get images, go on a journey, and sometimes people who have difficulty sleeping fall into a relaxed and revitalizing sleep.
Anything is possible but in general almost everyone experiences a release of tension and a deep peace and well-being.
Skepticism and the deeper workings of sound
My father needs to be able to perceive everything, wants things to be tangible otherwise it doesn't exist and is ruthlessly dismissed.
After I finally managed to persuade him to undergo a sound bath, he told me the following:
Nienke, I am always in pain. There are always one or more places in my body where I experience pain.
But just now? Gone! I felt nothing at all. I don't understand anything.
Skeptical or not, harmonious sounds are absorbed by your body, because a body likes to connect with coherent frequencies and thus can have a healing effect on everyone.
Singing bowls
Tibetan singing bowls are metal bowls usually composed of a combination of metal alloys and were originally used by Tibetan monks for religious and spiritual ceremonies. In a sound meditation, singing bowls, gongs and bells of high intensity and low frequency can induce a deep relaxation response and have a positive effect on mood and sense of well-being. Sound healing has been used in various forms for centuries by cultures around the world, including indigenous peoples.
