Plien van Bennekom and Bianca Krijgsman met while studying at the Academie voor Kleinkunst in Amsterdam, where they graduated in 1993. With Changez!, their very first performance, they won Cameretten Festival in 1996. From 1999 to 2001 they toured the country as the farm girls Irma and Ingrid with Biks!, loosely based on the popular VPRO youth series Zaai (Sow). This was followed by Ngorongoro (2001-2003) and Wie dan allemaal... (2007).

In 2011 Plien & Bianca made a performance with the very best scenes from the previous programs: Got them again... For their show Is it still going on? (2014-2016) they were nominated for the 2015 Poelifinario. In addition to their own performances, they could still be seen together in Slippers with Bas Hoeflaak and Peter de Witte (Droog Brood) and Selma Ann Louis with Arjan Ederveen and others. In 2017, Plien & Bianca received the Johan Kaartprijs for their contribution to Dutch theatrical entertainment. From 2019 to 2023, they toured theaters with their seventh cabaret program En nu dan?
