This theatrical performance tells the intriguing and true story of the Frisian resistance fighter Jan Evenhuis. Together with the staff of the tax offices in Leeuwarden and Drachten, he managed to withdraw 6 million guilders of tax money (converted to 40 million euros) during World War II.

This money was used to finance the increasingly large-scale hiding aid in Friesland and to save the lives of thousands of Jews, pilots and forced laborers. When his daughter was arrested in 1944, the genial Evenhuis lost his common sense. To free her, he makes the wrong decision, which has very serious consequences.

You can book a ticket for this separately. Lectures are also organized in all three places. These are at other times than the performance evenings.
