An exhibition about our striking building De Waag (1917 - 1985 ). During this exhibition the Vereniging Historisch Sneek will browse through the history outlined above using original reports and advertisements from the Sneeker Nieuwsblad, original correspondence from the Town Council and visual material, from the archives of Cultural History Center "De Tiid".
Family stories of Sneker families including the Kooi family. They tell the story of the people in hiding Jan Dirk Kooi ( 1922-1991 ) and Johanna Kooi-Nieborg ( 1919-2013 ) who were in hiding near Sneek.
Poems by Henk van der Veer
Keys and wall anchor of the former Synagogue of Sneek the wall anchor of the Synagogue is decorated with a Star of David.
Matthijs Graafland archivist historical Sneek manager of their Jewish archives discovered where the keys and wall anchor were located.
Banners from the collection of Paul van Goor photographer. These have to do with the war 40-45 with poems by Henk van der Veer.
You can visit the exhibition on April 17-18-24-25 and May 1-2-3 from 1:30-4:30 p.m. At these times tour guides will be present from the Vereniging Historisch Sneek and hostesses/hermits who will show you around. Of course the entrance is free.
