In their elaboration, the young people depict what can happen behind closed doors. In doing so, parallels are drawn between then and now.

Theater production 'Behind this door
The exhibition is based on the play 'Behind this door', commissioned by the museum and written by Maaike Bergsma. The play is performed no less than 10 times in private by young people from Sneker secondary school, for teachers and over 900 students the four vo schools. In the play we follow the residents of the house at Kleinzand 18 on the evening of the raid by the Sicherheitsdienst on the night of November 16, 1943. The play switches between the past and the present, thus touching on the experiences of young people.

The exhibition can be seen at the Fries Scheepvaart Museum from April 5 to May 4.
