DUO concert

DUO concert Eljakim and Evergreens.

A special combination!

On Saturday evening, October 19, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., Mixed Choir Evergreens and Vocal Ensemble Eljakim will give a concert in the main hall of De Spil, Molenkrite 169 in Sneek.

Eljakim is a mixed choir with a secular and religious repertoire. They sing a-capella, this means without support from piano or other instruments. A very different choir than Evergreens. Evergreens has a broad repertoire of classical, evergreens and pop music and is supported by a combo, consisting of a pianist, a drummer, a bass guitarist and a guitarist.

By performing together, we aim to inspire each other and provide a beautiful performance.

Eljakim will perform such songs as May it be, from the movie Lord of the Rings and This Marriage by Eric Whitacre. Evergreens sings include Bella Ciao and Do bist in myn hert. In addition, we will perform several songs together: The Road home by the Eljakim and Halleluja by the Evergreens. As a joint conclusion we sing We'l meet again.

A lot of variety!

The binding factor is the professional conductor: Erwin de Ruijter, he is conductor of both choirs.

Both choirs would like to welcome new members so this is a chance to see how much fun singing in a choir is. We always say: everybody can sing so you can too.

Admission is free: you decide what financial contribution you want to make to cover expenses.
