Christmas concert Sneeker CantateKoor

This concert promises to be a warm and atmospheric afternoon where the audience can enjoy a wonderful mix of old and modern Christmas music. This event is an ideal opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit with music that comes straight from the heart.

The repertoire for this concert includes both classical and modern works. These include the centuries-old "Das Neugeborne Kindelein" performed by Dietrich Buxtehude, a timeless work that harkens back to the traditions of early Christmas music. In addition, the beautiful "Ecce Novum" by contemporary composer Ola Gjeilo will be heard, which with its modern sounds brings the Christmas message to life in a contemporary way. Of course, other well-known Christmas carols will also be sung in which those present can also sing along pieces.

The musical leadership is in the hands of Sippie Broersma. The choir is accompanied by organist Jochem Schuurman and cellist Derk Stegeman.
