Anniversary concert 10 years Pop Choir Hege Hakken

Pop choir 'Hege Hakken' exists ten years and celebrates this grandly with a festive anniversary concert on November 23, 2024.
The pop choir from Heeg was founded in October 2014 by two sisters, Klaske and Nienke.The pop choir now consists of 26 women on 'Hege Hakken' led by conductor Akke Bosma. The choir members come from Heeg, IJlst, Sneek, Oudega and Bolsward. They sing a four-part repertoire from ballad to up-tempo in English, Dutch and Frisian. During performances the choir is accompanied by Marijke van der Wal or Rennie van Brug on the piano.

With great pleasure and friendliness the choir sings and works on beautiful performances. The conductor is driven and knows how to get the members of 'Hege Hakken' to a level that regularly results in a prize or nice project. In 2017 this resulted in the fourth prize during the choir festival on Schiermonnikoog and in 2022 no less than the second prize. This, of course, was celebrated exuberantly.

Grateful is the Pop Choir that in early 2020 they were allowed to sing along at the event 'Friesian Proms' in the WTC Expo in Leeuwarden. In January 2023 they were again allowed to participate in this wonderful event with Friesian Horses. Last year before the summer they performed at the Rotjekoor Festival in Rotterdam and in January 2024 Popkoor 'Hege Hakken' was even entered for a performance in Paradiso Amsterdam.On November 23, 2024 Popkoor 'Hege Hakken' celebrates the tenth anniversary in the Martinikerk in Sneek.
