Martini Church
This church building was originally built from peat stone in the 11th century. Around 1300, the then building was enlarged and equipped with an imposing westwork consisting of three towers. According to tradition, the bones of Grutte Pier, who died on October 28, 1520, rest within the walls of the church. The church organ is by the famous organ builder Schnitger from 1710. The church is regularly open to the public in the summer and of course also during normal services.
