Not very long ago, almost all transport in Friesland was done by water. You can still experience this today during a boat trip through the canals of Sneek and in the Frisian Maritime Museum. Friesland op Maat offers a package with a canal cruise and a visit to the museum, including lunch and a coffee break. With a tasting for dessert at the Weduwe Joustra, where Beerenburg has been brewed for more than 150 years according to a secret recipe with herbs that skippers obtained from the Amsterdam herbalist Hendrik Beerenburg.
